SCOPE

Malaysia Journal Of Archaeology (JAM) is published twice a year in April and September by Ikatan Ahli Arkeologi Malaysia cooperation with Culture, Arts, and Malaycivilization Research Group, Institute of The Malay World and Civilization (ATMA), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The primary aim of the journal is to publish research undertaken by scholars and researchers in the field of archaeology, culture, history and heritage.

MANUSCRIPTS

Manuscripts, in Malay and English, submitted to the journal for publication must be original contributions, and have not been previously published or under consideration for publication elsewhere. They should be typed double-space with wide margins to allow for editorial comments. The first page of the manuscript should contain title, the author’s name, postal address with post-code, e-mail address and the author’s affiliation. While the manuscript is being processed for publication, be sure to inform the editor of any change in address. Editors reserve the right to edit manuscripts as seem appropriate. ABSTRACTS

Include an abstract in English and Malay of 100-200 words.

KEYWORDS

Give 5-10 key words.

NOTES

Footnotes are not recommended. If absolutely necessary, they should be kept to an absolute minimum and placed as end-notes which must be numbered consecutively.

REFERENCES

References should be listed in the end of the article in alphabetical order. Several references by the same author(s) must be in chronological order. A journal reference should comprise name(s), initial(s), year of publication, full title of article, title of the journal in italic, the volume number, issue number, the first and last page of the article, in the following order:

A book reference should comprise name(s), initial(s), year, full title in italic, place of publication and publisher, in the following order.

APPENDIXES

Samples, questionnaires, technical notes, maps, illustrations, tables and other essential information should be presented in appendixes. Each appendix must be given a title. They are referred to in the text by their labels.

REFEREEING

All manuscripts will be reviewed by the Editorial Board and at least one independent reviewer. Decision regarding the publication of a manuscript is based on their recommendations.
