Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated conceptual framework for the digitalisation of Adat Perpatih reference sources through the Pradakaps portal. It addresses the issue of customary reference sources that remain scattered, strongly dependent on oral transmission, and insufficiently structured in a digital environment. As a matrilineal cultural system, Adat Perpatih embodies tacit knowledge related to history, social structure, customary leadership, cultural values, customary sayings, and community practices. This condition requires a digitalisation process that goes beyond document storage and preserves the relationship between content, context, and cultural meaning. This conceptual study synthesises Tacit Knowledge Theory, the Knowledge Creation Model, Design Science Research, and the Technology Acceptance Model. The proposed framework integrates three main dimensions: knowledge structuring, digital system development, and user acceptance. The Pradakaps portal is conceptualised as a digital knowledge system that supports resource classification, semantic mapping, source authority verification, user interaction, and more meaningful presentation of customary knowledge. The study contributes to the literature on digital cultural heritage by offering a model that links epistemological, technological, and social dimensions within an integrated framework. Practically, the framework provides a foundation for developing a more organised, credible, inclusive, and sustainable customary reference portal.
