Alat Repeh Zaman Paleolitik: Isu dan Masalah di Asia Tenggara

Siti Khairani Jalil, Jeffrey Abdullah

Abstract

Paleolithic era was also known as the Old Stone Age. In this era, people have been using stone as a technology known as lithic technology. Generally, stone tools which were produced in this era were known as pebble tools and flake tools. Flake tool is one of the flake tools which are used for light work activity. Although it is only used for light work but it is still important in the lives of prehistoric people in Palaeolithic era. Flake tool in Southeast Asia is said to be amorphous, which has no particular shape. Therefore, there is a problem arise in terms of functions, typology and its relationship with the production of a secondary tool.

Keywords: Paleolithic era, flake tools, amorphus, typology
